types of woodcarvings, beautiful handmade silverware and jewelry, age old hand weaving

and batik painting, small and big statues carved out from stone .

Early evening we watch an energizing Balinese dance show which taken

rom the Hindu epic Ramayana. The Kecak tells the story of Prince Rama and his

rescue of Princess Sita, performed with bare-chested men who acting as the chorus.

Ubud with Monkeys

Morning Tour

The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary situated in the middle of Ubud and it is owned by the village of Padangtegal. In the 27 acres, there are 80 species of trees, several species of mammals, butterflies, birds,about 500 long-tailed macaques and other living things live harmoniously. The temple was built around 1343 by the Pejeng dynasty. Watch your valuables, these monkeys like to steal!

Pura Saren Ubud is cross the street from the Ubud Markets: beautifully designed traditional houses where the Ubud King and his family still lives ( can only go into the outside area).
