If you ever wanted to know how coffee is grown and roasted, this is the place to check it out. We visit a coffee/ spice plantation on this tour. As you wonder around the footpaths, you can see lots of tropical fruits & spices:nutmeg tree, mangosteen, snake fruit, papaya, banana, cocoa tree, cinnamon tree, ginger, vanilla, cardamom, etc. and of course coffee. As you watch the coffee roasted, sip some hot drinks made from the local produce (the ginger coffee is nice).

There are plenty of  products to choose from : local beauty products, cocoa powder, home grown tobacco and cigars and the very famous Luwak Coffee.

Theater and dance is a fundamental element of the Balinese culture. The Barong dance is about a fight between the Barong (good) and Rangda (evil). A legendary queen who was involved with black magic, killed her husband and lead an army of witches against the leader of the Good.

The Barong ask his followers, the kris dancers, to assist him. The kris dancers want to attack Rangda with their knives (kris), but she casts a spell on them and they fall into a trance and stab themselves with their knives instead of her.  Quickly the Barong using his magical powers for good and releases the kris dancers from her curse. In the final scene a priest pours holy water on the kris dancers and awakens them from their trance, Rangda is finally killed and good wins over evil once again.

Admire the views of this active volcano and its lake from Penelokan which actually means "a place to look".

There is a stunning scenery across to Gunung Batur and its crater now filled with water and became the

Batur Lake.

When the volcano erupted in 1917, it killed thousands of people in the original village of Batur. After rebuilding the village the volcano erupted again in 1927, then they moved the village and the surviving shrine to higher grounds.

We also visit two Hindu

Temples from the ancient Pejeng Kingdom after our lunch:

the Pura Pusering Jagat or the Navel of the World Temple and the Pura Penataran Sasih where the largest single piece cast drum in the world located.
