First we visit the Bajra Sandhi Monument, which is centrally located in Denpasar in a beautiful park with a  big courtyard next to the  Bali Governor’s office. This striking monument was completed in 1987 and represents the history of the Balinese people throughout time. 33 Dioramas depict significant historical stages of the Balinese people from prehistoric times to the current era.

 

 

Pura Taman Ayun is situated in a gorgeous park surrounded by a wide moat near the village of Mengwi in the south of Bali. Built in 17th century Taman Ayun literally means a "beautiful garden' and it is one of the most attractive temple of Bali. Created by the Raja of Mengwi as a 'Pura Kawiten' or family temple, this is a  special temple where the deified ancestors of the Raja Dynasty of Mengwi and other important gods are honored.

Tanah Lot - which means "Land in the Sea" in Balinese language - located in Tabanan, about 20 km from Denpasar. The temple was founded by a famous Hindu priest Dang Hyang Nirartha on a small rocky island which has been shaped over the years by the endless ocean tide. It is reachable in a few minute by walk, because it is just 20 meters from the coastal lip  and has been a part of Balinese mythology for centuries.

 

Pura  Ulun Danu Bratan is located near the village of Bedugul on the Beratan Lake and consist of 4 temple complexes. The name Ulun comes from a Hulu word meaning head or power and in this case is intended by Ulun Danu Beratan means power of Beratan Lake which  is Danu Goddess. It is a beautiful temple with gorgeous lake view, cool atmosphere surrounded by mountains in a much cooler atmosphere .
